ROCKIES 4, METS 1

Aaron Cook pitched a complete game, only allowing four hits and one run. The Mets offense stinks and if it costs Willie his job then it is to blame. Maine pitched pretty well against the Rockies B team but we still lost two out of three in the weekend series. This was hardly the defending NL Champions (no Holliday, no Tulowitski, no Hawpe, no Barnes) but they still beat us. Now we're 2 games under .500, 5 and a half games behind the Marlins. Coming up is a home series against Florida and that could make or break the season. Either the Mets reverse course and make up ground, or bury themselves even further. What will it be boys?

WP: Aaron Cook (7-3)
LP: John Maine (5-4)
