NATIONALS 10, METS 4
This one was close for the first few innings but then it just got away from them. Tied at three going into the fifth inning, Figgy gave up 3 runs. Then in the next inning, Jorge Sosa gave up 4 more. Ex-Met Lastings Milledge was 1 for 4 with a double, but the offensive star for the Nats was their pitcher Odalis Perez. He went 3 for 3 with 2 RBIs. Combined with over six good innings, the other O. Perez was player of the game. For the Mets, we did get home runs from Wright and Easley. Unfortunately, Easley was playing because Luis Castillo is out with a strained quad. Will he go on the DL? At least the Mets had their entire lineup healthy... for about a week. And speaking of roster moves, when will Matt Wise be activated? And who is going to start for the Mets on Wednesday? With Saturday's doubleheader and no off day, the Mets don't have a starter for that day. Looks like they'll be calling someone up from AAA. But then who goes down? Gotta love the roster drama.
WP: Odalis Perez (1-3)
LP: Nelson Figueroa (2-3)
