Noooooo!!! Is this some kind of April Fools joke? Pedro is hurt! (By Pedro, of course I mean Pedro Martinez, but like Elvis, no last name is necessary) After missing most of the 2007 season with a shoulder injury, he completely rehabbed it and was set to go for the 2008 campaign. Until he strained his hamstring tonight! Seeing him limp off the field was just heartbreaking. In the clubhouse, Kevin Burkhardt reported that Pedro told him that he felt a pop. That cannot be good. Oh yeah, the Mets lost tonight in extra innings. But that is certainly a secondary story to the loss of Pedro. Let's keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow's MRI results.
